Crumb City is all about games: roleplaying games, miniatures games, card games, and even board games.
What is Crumb City?
Crumb City is Game Design
Crumb City is all about Game Design. I have a variety of Projects I’m working on from roleplaying games to miniature games to card games. Here’s a list of the current Crumb City projects.
- Surge - a modern roleplaying game where one of the unique properties of the game is being able to play what you want.
- Die Fighting – a miniature-based game where the pieces are represented by dice instead of figures
Other project will emerge over the next several months as Daniel forms partnerships with local game designers.

History of Crumb City
Brief Background
Crumb City was founded in 2005 by Daniel Schorr as a blog and a place to share information about gaming. Unfortunately Daniel was unable to devote as much time to the site as he originally wanted and the site faltered. 2005 was also the year that Daniel began his Master’s Degree in Adult Education. In 2008 Daniel finished up his Master’s Degree and decided that he wanted to spend more time on game design so he moved Crumb City from a simple blog to a game design company.
About the Name
The name cameabout when a co-worker, who was standing in the office kitchen, commented, “It’s crumb city in here.” Daniel liked the name so much he registered it that day. While he didn’t have the time to devote to the website then he did know that he wanted to design games.
